Meet Ivah
Ivah is 20 years old and currently studying a biomedical science degree, with his sights set on becoming a surgeon. Last year, he proudly represented Australia at the Deaflympics, and through his YouTube channel, he shares his story to inspire others
He was also born profoundly deaf, but that has never slowed him down.
From the very beginning, his family did everything they could to support him. At just 10 months old, Ivah’s first cochlear implant was switched on, with a second following only three months later. Through Hear and Say’s listening and spoken language therapy program, he learned how to hear, speak and connect with the world around him.
